The 1,000Wh class compared: which one for your outage?
Short answer: all five run a typical fridge for roughly half a day and Wi-Fi with lights for well over a night, so pick on the trade-offs. Lightest: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. Most battery without add-ons: BLUETTI AC180 or ALLPOWERS R1500. Most room to grow: ALLPOWERS R1500 or EcoFlow DELTA 2. Most balanced: Anker SOLIX C1000 (Gen 1) or DELTA 2.
The numbers side by side
| Station | Battery | Output / surge | Weight | Solar max | Expands to | Switchover |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EcoFlow DELTA 2 | 1,024 Wh | 1,800 / 2,700 W | 27 lb | 500 W | 3,040 Wh | up to 30 ms |
| Anker SOLIX C1000 (Gen 1) | 1,056 Wh | 1,800 / 2,400 W | 28.4 lb | 600 W | 2,112 Wh* | under 20 ms |
| Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 | 1,070 Wh | 1,500 / 3,000 W | 23.8 lb | 400 W | No | under 20 ms |
| BLUETTI AC180 | 1,152 Wh | 1,800 / 2,700 W | 35.3 lb | 500 W | No | 20 ms |
| ALLPOWERS R1500 | 1,152 Wh | 1,800 / 3,000 W | 36.8 lb | 650 W | 4,608 Wh | 15 ms |
* Anker’s US storefronts disagreed on BP1000 availability on October 12, 2026 (one listed it as sold out), so the planner doesn’t count it yet. All five use LiFePO4 batteries and have pure sine wave AC output, except that Jackery’s US page doesn’t state pure sine for the 1000 v2.
Runtime for common outage loads
| Load | DELTA 2 | SOLIX C1000 | 1000 v2 | AC180 | R1500 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wi-Fi, lights, phones | 12.1 | 12.5 | 12.7 | 13.7 | 13.7 |
| Fridge alone | 11.7 | 12.1 | 12.2 | 13.2 | 13.2 |
| Fridge, Wi-Fi, lights | 6.9 | 7.1 | 7.2 | 7.7 | 7.7 |
| CPAP with humidifier | 16.3 | 16.8 | 17.1 | 18.4 | 18.4 |
The spread is small — about an hour and a half on a fridge between the smallest and largest — because the batteries are within 13% of each other. Runtime isn’t the reason to choose between these five; the trade-offs below are.
Which to pick
You’ll carry it often: Jackery Explorer 1000 v2
At 23.8 lb it’s the lightest by over 3 lb. In return it has the lowest output (1,500W — fine for a fridge, tight for a microwave plus anything else), the slowest solar charging (400W) and no expansion.
You want the most battery in one box: BLUETTI AC180 or ALLPOWERS R1500
Both have 1,152Wh and 1,800W. The R1500 adds a higher surge rating (3,000W vs 2,700W), more solar input (650W vs 500W), the fastest published switchover (15 ms) and real expansion. The AC180 is about 1.5 lb lighter but can’t be expanded. Both are heavy, at 35–37 lb.
You might want more battery later: ALLPOWERS R1500 or EcoFlow DELTA 2
The R1500 takes up to three B1000 batteries (4,608Wh in total — the figure ALLPOWERS states on its US product page). The DELTA 2 reaches 2,048Wh or 3,040Wh with one extra battery, and is 10 lb lighter to start with. The SOLIX C1000 can double to 2,112Wh with its BP1000 battery, but Anker’s US storefronts disagreed on whether the BP1000 could be bought when we checked on October 12, 2026, so the planner doesn’t count that expansion yet.
You want a balanced all-rounder: Anker SOLIX C1000 (Gen 1) or EcoFlow DELTA 2
Both give 1,800W, mid-pack weight and an expansion path. The C1000 charges faster from solar (600W vs 500W) and has a quicker switchover; the DELTA 2 has two expansion options. Make sure a C1000 listing is the Gen 1 (1,056Wh) — the Gen 2 is a different product.
You need it to protect a router or CPAP the moment the power cuts
All five offer some form of automatic switchover. Published times range from 15 ms (R1500) to up to 30 ms (DELTA 2). Whether your device stays on through the gap is something to test, not assume — see the CPAP guide.
When the 1,000Wh class isn’t enough
If you want a fridge, Wi-Fi and lights through a 12-hour outage, none of these five does it on its own on our estimates — you need about 1,800Wh. Either add an expansion battery to a DELTA 2, SOLIX C1000 or R1500, or step up to the 2,048Wh DELTA 2 Max or AC200L. The planner shows which combinations work.
